and Tony Millyard have combined their research and manufacturing facilities
to develop Baroque Bassoons at A=415hz. After
a number of years of research and development we have produced three instruments
which we are pleased to offer.

Denner Bassoon
This is
a faithful and accurate copy of J C Denner's bassoon at its original pitch of
A=415hz, now in the Brussels Conservatoire (catalogue number 427). Johann Christoph
Denner was active as an instrument maker in Nurnburg from around 1678 until
his death in 1707, so this instrument is one of the earliest examples of a Baroque
Bassoon.
The Denner is excellent for playing the baroque repertoire and has a strong
and rich tone.

Rottenburgh Bassoon
H Rottenburgh
Based
on J H Rottenburgh's four-keyed bassoon in Brugges (number M56), this instrument
is thought to have originally been made around 1735. Joannes Hyacinthus Rottenburgh
was active as an instrument maker in Brussels between 1700 and 1775.
This instrument has a narrower long joint and a slightly softer tone than
the Denner bassoon and is well suited to playing baroque music within both
orchestral and chamber settings.
